Tomato satsebeli sauce: the most successful recipe for meat and vegetables

Georgian satsebeli sauce, made on the basis of tomatoes or tomato paste in combination with fragrant spices, will delight many lovers of sweet and sour notes. Its biggest advantage is that it does not take much time to prepare the dish, and the sauce itself adds piquancy to many dishes, especially if it is grilled meat or vegetables.
Food blogger Nastia Barbar shared a recipe for a spicy Georgian satsebeli sauce on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- tomatoes – 5 kg
- garlic – 4 heads
- ground black pepper – 1.5 tsp.
- sugar – 300 g
- salt – 1.5 tbsp
- starch – 3 tbsp
- vinegar – 50 ml
- Suneli hops seasoning – 2 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Wash, chop and grind the tomatoes in tomato juice.
2. Chop the garlic.
3. Mix tomato juice, garlic, sugar, salt and pepper and put on fire. Cook for 1 hour.
4. After that, pour a little sauce from the total mass. Cool slightly and mix with starch. Add to the total mass and cook.
5. Add vinegar and boil for 5 minutes.
6. Add seasoning and boil again for 5 minutes.
7. Pour the sauce into sterile jars.
