Thin lace pancakes with holes: what to add to the dough

Traditional pancakes are made with milk, kefir, whey, and sour cream. But to make them openwork and have characteristic holes, you need to add yeast.

One of the culinary blogs(healthydemure) published a recipe for thin pancakes with holes on Instagram. The dough for the dish is recommended to be made with milk and yeast.

Ingredients:

  • flour - 480 g
  • milk - 1 liter
  • eggs - 2 pcs
  • dry yeast - 8 g
  • salt - 1 tsp.
  • sugar - 1 tbsp + 1 tsp
  • vegetable oil - 3 tbsp.

Method of preparation:

1. Lightly heat 70 ml of milk, then add 1 tsp of sugar and 8 g of dry yeast. Stir and leave for 5-10 minutes.

2. Beat the eggs separately with salt and the rest of the sugar.

3. Add the dough and the rest of the warm milk to the resulting mass. Stir to combine.

4. Gradually add flour, mix. Leave for 15-20 minutes.

5. When the dough rises slightly, mix it again and leave it for another 20 minutes.

6. Then add the oil to the dough, mix and leave for another 20 minutes.

7. At this stage, you can fry the pancakes.
