Thick peach jam with a secret ingredient: an easy and quick recipe
Peach jam is very refined, and luxurious, and tastes nothing like any other jam. During the cooking process, peaches give off a lot of sweet enzyme. So this dessert is perfectly complemented by citrus juice or zest. If you boil the jam well, the consistency of the jam will be similar to a thick jam.
Food blogger Kateryna Mull shared a recipe for peach jam on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- peaches - 1 kg
- sugar - 150 g
- lemon/lime juice - 1/2 pc.
- lemon zest - 15 g
Method of preparation:
1. Wash and pit the peaches.
2. In a deep saucepan combine peaches, sugar, lemon/lime juice, lemon zest. Put on fire, bring to a boil and cook for 1 hour on low heat.
3. Remove the jam from the heat and let it cool completely. Then bring to a boil twice more.
