The simplest Turkish pide pizza with potatoes and cheese: how to make

Pide is a traditional Turkish pizza in the shape of a boat. It is made on the basis of the simplest yeast-free dough with kefir, which is then topped with a lot of juicy options. And it can be completely different: from ordinary sausage to potatoes. In general, this pizza is very satisfying and can feed the whole family.

Ingredients:

For the dough:

  • kefir - 250 ml
  • soda - 0.5 tsp.
  • salt - 0.5 tsp.
  • sugar - 1.5 tsp.
  • oil - 3 tbsp.
  • flour - 350-400 g

For the filling:

  • potatoes - 5-6 pcs.
  • butter - 20 g
  • green onions - 1 bunch
  • dill - 1/2 bunch
  • cheese (feta, cheese) - 60 g
  • spices: salt, pepper - to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Peel the potatoes, wash, chop, and boil them.

2. Meanwhile, prepare the dough. Add baking soda, salt, and sugar to kefir. Mix well.

3. Add oil and mix.

4. Gradually add flour and knead the dough. Cover with a towel.

5. For the filling, chop onion and dill and crumble cheese.

6. Drain the water from the cooked potatoes and mash them. Add butter and mix.

7. Add greens, cheese and spices. Mix well.

8. Divide the dough into 5 parts. Roll each part into a thin layer in the form of a long oval.

9. Spread the filling around the perimeter, and form boats, pinching the tails.

10. Bake at 250 degrees for 7-13 minutes.

11. Put a piece of butter in each finished boat.
