The perfect breakfast – pumpkin scramble with French fries: an exclusive recipe by Oleksandr Hromliuk
If you're tired of the usual breakfasts – cereals, yogurt, cheesecakes, casseroles, eggs, omelets – no problem. After all, you can make a delicious, original, hearty dish from simple ingredients that will give you a boost of energy for several hours.
The recipe for one of these dishes was shared exclusively for FoodOboz by Oleksandr Hromliuk, a participant of Hell's Kitchen (New Channel), and this dish is a delicious pumpkin scramble with fries that everyone will definitely like.
Ingredients for the scramble:
- Egg - 2 pcs.
- Cream - 20 g
- Pumpkin puree - 30 g
- Butter - 10 g
- Salt, pepper - to taste
Method of preparation:
- Bake the pumpkin in the oven, always in foil, at 180 degrees for about 30-40 minutes. Then blend until smooth.
- Beat the eggs separately, add the mashed potatoes and cream, and mix well, don't forget to add salt and pepper.
- Use a non-stick frying pan for frying. Melt the butter, pour in the egg and pumpkin mixture, and wait until the eggs set slightly around the edges.
- After that, gently move the eggs from edge to edge until fried pieces form.
- Important - the finished scramble should be dense, but look a little soggy.
For the fries:
- Potatoes - 200 g
- Salt - to taste
- Oil for deep frying
Method of preparation:
- To make perfect fries, all you need to do is to cut the potatoes into strips and rinse them to remove any excess starch.
- Then you need to blanch them in salted boiling water (dip them in boiling water for a few minutes, depending on the size of the straws).
- Then take it out of the boiling water and dry it well on paper towels.
- Heat the oil to 180-190 C and put the potatoes in, fry until tender.
- Put the finished scramble on a plate and place the fries next to it.
- Be sure to pour flavored oil to taste and add fresh herbs.
"Green onions and basil are perfect with eggs and potatoes. You can also sprinkle with your favorite hard cheese, such as Parmesan, which will be delicious," the chef added.
