Nutritionist Svitlana Fus shared on Facebook her original ideas for delicious fillings for pita bread made from the simplest and most affordable products.

Products for the filling:

  • boiled chicken or turkey fillet
  • low-fat hard cheeses
  • low-fat cottage cheese
  • fried mushrooms
  • vegetables
  • any greens
  • fish (especially fillets of lean varieties) ⠀
  • hummus
  • pickled onions
  • garlic

Options:

1. Cheese + herbs + garlic.

2. Chicken + lettuce + tomato + Dijon mustard.

3. Fish + fresh cucumber + herbs + a few drops of lemon juice.

4. Canned tuna in juice + lettuce + fresh cucumber + tomato + bell pepper.

5. Cream cheese (low-fat) + chicken/turkey + garlic clove.

6. Cottage cheese + banana.

"Ground black pepper and salt can be used as spices in the filling. It is better to add vegetable oil, such as olive oil, to the filling," advises Fuss.
