Sweet Potato cakes are a dessert that has been known for generations. It is based on cookie dough and cocoa. The mass is quite dense and tender.

The idea of making sweet potato cakes was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Iryna Dimitrova (iriska_dimitrova).

Ingredients:

  • 370 g shortbread cookies
  • 80 g of sugar
  • 30 g of cocoa
  • 0.5 cups of milk (125 ml)
  • 80 g of butter
  • chocolate
  • coconut flakes

Method of preparation:

1. Add the cocoa to the sugar and grind it so that there are no lumps.

2. Pour in the milk, mix until smooth and add the butter.

3. Over medium heat, stirring constantly, heat the butter until it dissolves and small bubbles form.

4. Grind the shortbread cookies into crumbs.

5. Gradually pour the chocolate mass into the crumbs and knead the dough.

6. If the dough is too thick, you can add a little more milk, and if it is too thin, add more crumbs.

7. Let the dough cool down a bit and form the cakes. You can make them in the form of balls or in the form of potatoes.

8. Leave the cakes in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

9. Then garnish with chocolate and coconut flakes.
