The easiest berry pie in the world: the recipe

We all love homemade pies, especially those with delicious fillings. Since there are so many of them, it's not a problem to make any one to your taste, as well as choose any dough.

The FoodOboz editorial team has prepared a recipe for the most delicious berry pie, which is very quick and easy to prepare.

Ingredients for shortcrust pastry:

  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • flour - 400 g
  • sugar - 100 g
  • baking powder - 5 g
  • butter - 100-150 g
  • salt - a pinch

Ingredients for the filling:

  • currants - 300 g
  • coconut sugar - 150 g
  • starch - 30 g

Method of preparation:

  1. For the dough: sift the flour, add the butter, eggs – 1 white and 3 yolks, baking powder, and sugar, and mix everything thoroughly to make crumbs. Make the dough into a ball, wrap it in cling film, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Filling: put the currants in a saucepan, cover with sugar, and put on the fire, stirring constantly.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix sugar and cornstarch, stir, and add to the currants, cook for 45 minutes. Afterward, leave the jam to harden and cool.
  4. Roll out the chilled dough, put it in a mold, prick it, pour the currant jam, and sprinkle with dough crumbs on top.
  5. Put in the oven for 30-40 minutes at 170 C.

You can serve the grated cake both warm and cold, and it will not spoil its taste.
