We all love homemade pies, especially those with delicious fillings. Since there are so many of them, it's not a problem to make any one to your taste, as well as choose any dough.
The FoodOboz editorial team has prepared a recipe for the most delicious berry pie, which is very quick and easy to prepare.
Ingredients for shortcrust pastry:
- eggs - 2 pcs.
- flour - 400 g
- sugar - 100 g
- baking powder - 5 g
- butter - 100-150 g
- salt - a pinch
Ingredients for the filling:
- currants - 300 g
- coconut sugar - 150 g
- starch - 30 g
Method of preparation:
- For the dough: sift the flour, add the butter, eggs – 1 white and 3 yolks, baking powder, and sugar, and mix everything thoroughly to make crumbs. Make the dough into a ball, wrap it in cling film, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Filling: put the currants in a saucepan, cover with sugar, and put on the fire, stirring constantly.
- In a separate bowl, mix sugar and cornstarch, stir, and add to the currants, cook for 45 minutes. Afterward, leave the jam to harden and cool.
- Roll out the chilled dough, put it in a mold, prick it, pour the currant jam, and sprinkle with dough crumbs on top.
- Put in the oven for 30-40 minutes at 170 C.
You can serve the grated cake both warm and cold, and it will not spoil its taste.
