The easiest apple pie for tea on yeast dough

Apple pies are a great treat for tea, cocoa, and coffee. You can make any kind of dough for pies, even a simple pita bread can become "dough". Apples go well with cinnamon, nuts, and honey.

Ingredients:

Dough:

  • flour – 360 g

  • milk – 200 ml
  • sugar – 60 g
  • eggs – 1 pc

  • butter – 50 g
  • fresh pressed yeast – 15 g
  • salt – a pinch

The filling:

  • apples – 250 g
  • raisins – 35 g

  • juice and zest of 1 orange
  • sugar – 4 tbsp

  • butter – 1 tbsp
  • cornstarch – 1 tsp

Method of preparation:

1. Mix the milk at room temperature with the sugar and yeast, cover with plastic wrap, and leave for 10 minutes.

2. Add the egg to the dough, mix, then add half the flour and salt, mix again, add the butter and the other half of the flour, and knead the dough for 10 minutes.

3. Put the finished dough into a bowl greased with oil, cover with cling film, and place in a warm place for 1 hour.

4. Filling: wash and dice the apples, add the zest and juice of an orange. Melt the sugar in a frying pan with butter, add the apples, and cook for 5 minutes, then add the raisins, mix the juice with starch, pour into the pan, stir, and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

4. Divide the dough into 8 pieces, roll 7 of them into circles, fold in half to form a semicircle, put the filling on both sides, and roll 2 horns that meet in the middle. Roll out the last part of the dough, put the filling in the middle, and form a ball.

How to make the perfect pie dough

5. Place the "horns" in a circle in the mold, and a ball in the center to form a flower. Cover with cling film and leave for 25-30 minutes, brush with egg on top, and bake for 25-30 minutes at 170-180 C.

Sprinkle the finished cake with powdered sugar.
