In addition, they are easy to prepare, they can be used to make gazpacho, added to pizza, salads, as well as lecho, adjika, salted in barrels and canned.
On her YouTube channel, MasterChef judge and cook Tetiana Litvinova shared a recipe for the most delicious homemade ketchup, which is spicy, tasty, tender and easy to make (to watch the video, scroll to the end).
Ingredients:
- tomatoes - 6 kg (5 liters of juice)
- apples - 1 kg
- onions - 0.5 kg
- garlic - 5-6 cloves.
- hot pepper - 1 pc.
- peppercorns - 1 tbsp.
- allspice - 1 tbsp.
- salt - 1 tbsp. l.
Method of preparation:
- Wash the tomatoes, dry them, put them in a blender and whisk until smooth.
- Make sure to rub the mixture through a sieve so that all the grains remain on it.
- Pour the tomato mixture into a saucepan and bring to a boil, cook until well boiled and the volume is reduced.
- Wash the apples, core them and stew them, then rub them through a sieve.
- Peel the onion, chop it and stew it well.
- Put the onion and apples in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Add the resulting mixture to the boiling ketchup, mix well and add the bitter pepper - cut it.
- Put all the spices for it in cheesecloth, tie it up and put it in a saucepan, stir and cook the ketchup for another 20 minutes.
- At the very end, add salt and sugar and stir.
- Take out the spice bag and squeeze it well.
- Pour the hot sauce back into the blender and whisk well.
- Pour the finished ketchup into sterile jars and preserve it; it can be stored in the refrigerator or simply in a room at room temperature.
