Food blogger Kistaman Ramazanova (kistachka) shared on Instagram a recipe for a delicious, flavorful apple pie with custard that will be tastier than Charlotte's.

Ingredients:

Cream:

  • Egg - 1 pc.
  • Sugar - 50 g
  • Vanilla - a pinch
  • Cornstarch - 15 g (or just take regular wheat flour 30 g)
  • Milk - 250 ml

The dough:

  • Eggs - 2 pcs.
  • Sugar - 100 g
  • Milk - 100 ml
  • Flour - 200 g
  • Baking powder - 12 g
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Vanilla - a pinch
  • Apples - 3 pcs.
  • Butter - 10 g

1. Cream: mix the egg with sugar, add cornstarch and vanilla, pour in the milk and bring to a thick consistency over medium heat, stirring constantly with a whisk. Then remove from the heat and transfer the finished cream to a pastry bag.

2. Dough: beat the eggs with sugar and salt until fluffy and light, pour in the milk and mix well.

3. Sift the flour and add it together with the baking powder and beat until smooth.

4. Peel the apples, cut them into small pieces of any shape, add them to the dough, and mix.

5. Grease the mold with butter or simply cover it with parchment, pour the apple dough, and squeeze the cream from the pastry bag in a spiral shape on top.

6. Put the pie in a preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes at 180°C.
