1. Stuffed cabbage rolls with minced meat and rice

Homemade stuffed cabbage rolls

Ingredients:

  • cabbage - 1 head
  • rice - 50 g
  • minced meat - 500 g
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • carrot - 1 pc.
  • pepper, salt - to taste
  • sour cream - 4-6 tbsp
  • homemade ketchup - 2 tbsp. 

Method of preparation:

  1. Tear off the top leaves from the cabbage, cut off the lower part of the head of the cabbage, just below the middle, so the leaves will be easier to separate.
  2. Boil the rice until half cooked.
  3. Add chopped onions, grated carrots, rice, salt, and pepper to the minced meat and mix thoroughly.
  4. Boil the water well and throw in the cabbage for 2-4 minutes.
  5. Take it out, separate the leaves, and let it cool.
  6. Form cabbage rolls and put them in a dish.
  7. Sauce: mix sour cream and homemade ketchup and pour this mixture over the cabbage rolls.
  8. Place in the oven for 40 minutes at 170 degrees.

2. Milk porridge

Ingredients:

  • milk - 500-600 ml
  • rice - 50 g
  • sugar - 50 g
  • salt - a pinch

Method of preparation:

  1. Rinse the rice well with water 4-5 times, then put it in a saucepan, add 100 ml of water, and cook for about 10 minutes.
  2. When the water is completely absorbed, pour in the milk, add sugar and salt, and cook over low heat until it boils and then for another 10 minutes. Be sure to stir the porridge constantly so that the rice does not burn, otherwise the porridge will turn into a liquid.

3. Baked apples with rice and cheese

Ingredients:

  • rice - 50 g
  • apples - 4 pcs.
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp.
  • butter - 30 g
  • powdered sugar - 25 g
  • raisins - 2 tbsp.
  • any nuts - 30 g

Method of preparation:

  1. Wash the apples, cut off the tops, and carefully remove the middle to make room for the filling.
  2. Boil the rice until half cooked, add the cottage cheese, powdered sugar, nuts, cinnamon, and raisins, and mix everything thoroughly.
  3. Stuff the apples with the cottage cheese and rice filling put them on a baking sheet or in a mold, and put a small piece of butter on each.
  4. Send them to bake at 200 C for 15-20 minutes.
