Herring is the healthiest fish, according to experts. You can eat it in the form of forshmak, as well as add it to salads and make sandwiches.
Chef Hector Jimenez-Bravo shared a recipe on Instagram for a delicious, healthy, and satisfying herring salad with potatoes and pickles.
Ingredients:
- Boiled potatoes
- Pickled cucumber
- Herring
- Canned peas
- Blue onion
- Parsley and dill
- Butter
- Salt and pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Boil the potatoes in their skins, peel, and cut into cubes.
2. Dice the onion, herring, and pickled cucumber, and finely chop the herbs.
3. Mix all the ingredients, season with oil, salt and pepper, stir and serve.
