Tastier than pizza: how to make a salty galette with mushrooms and cheese
Usually, housewives are used to making galettes with sweet berry and fruit fillings. But there is something else – a salty galette. And one of the filling options is cheese and mushrooms. In this form, the dish is very satisfying and somewhat reminiscent of pizza.
Food blogger Kateryna Kudliak (recepty_przepisy) shared a recipe for a salty galette with cheese and mushrooms on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
Dough:
- flour – 250 g
- cold butter – 130 g
- eggs – 1 pc
- cold water – 1 tbsp
- salt – 1\2 tsp
Filling:

- mushrooms – 350 g
- sour cream – 2 tbsp
- onion – 1 pc

Method of preparation:
1. First, prepare the dough. To do this, mix the flour and butter to a state of crumbs. Add salt and mix.

3. Next, prepare the filling. To do this, cut the onion into cubes and fry until golden brown.
4. Meanwhile, chop the mushrooms and add to the onion. Fry until the liquid evaporates.
5. Pour in sour cream, add salt and pepper. Simmer for a few minutes until tender. Cool.
6. Just grate the hard cheese.
7. Roll out the dough in a circle on parchment. Put the cheese in the middle and the mushrooms on top. Form a galette with sides.
8. Brush the sides with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 200 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
