Tastier than pies and pizza: crispy and easy chebureks
Chebureks are a hearty pastry that you prepare with minced meat, cottage cheese, hard cheese, and herbs for the filling. To make the dough successful, add water and melted butter.
Cook Victoria shared a recipe for crispy chebureks with meat filling, which are cooked very quickly, on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- cold water - 250 ml
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter - 150 g
- flour - 550 g
The filling:
- meat - 300-350 g
- onion - 100 g
- spices: salt, pepper - to taste,
- milk
- vegetable oil
Method of preparation:
1. Melt and cool the butter. Pour salt and 4 tbsp of flour into cold water, add oil and stir with a spoon until smooth. Gradually sift in the remaining flour and knead a soft, elastic dough that does not stick to your hands. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, fold it into three layers, roll it out again into a rectangle, and then fold it into four layers. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1-1.5 hours.
3. For the filling, pass the meat and onion through the meat grinder. Add spices and milk and mix until smooth.
4. Divide the chilled dough into 16 pieces and form a ball from each piece. Thinly roll the ball into a circle, put the minced meat on half of it, and pinch the edges well.
5. Fry in well-heated vegetable oil on both sides until golden brown.
Serve hot with sour cream!
