Tastier than meat: juicy fish cutlets for dinner
Fish cutlets are the perfect dish for a tasty, healthy, and satisfying dinner. To keep the cutlets in shape and juicy, add onions and herbs to the minced meat.
The cook shared a recipe for delicious fish cakes on Instagram, which are very quick and easy to prepare.
Ingredients:
- White fish fillet – 600 g
- Onion – 1 pc
- Egg – 1 pc.
- Herbs (dill, parsley, or cilantro) – a small bunch
- Salt and pepper
- Bun or loaf – 100 g
- Milk or cream – 100 g
For the sauce:
- Greek yogurt (thick) – 100 g
- Green onions
- Dill
- Salt
- Salted cucumber – 1 pc
Method of preparation:
1. Pass the fish fillet through a meat grinder several times, add an egg, grated onion, chopped herbs, and a roll soaked in cream or milk to the minced meat.
2. Add salt and pepper and mix the minced meat. Add a little lemon zest if desired.
3. Form the patties and fry in a frying pan over medium heat until golden brown. Then bake for another three minutes until cooked through.
4. For the sauce: finely chop the greens, dice the cucumber, and mix with Greek yogurt. You can use Crimean onions (this will make the sauce more savory) and add capers. And you can replace the yogurt with mayonnaise or sour cream!
Serve the cutlets with the sauce!
