Tastier than meat: how to bake lard properly
Lard is a healthy, nutritious product, of which just a small piece is enough to fill you up. It can be eaten as an independent dish, as well as used to prepare other. For example, it can be baked, added to minced meat, and pickled lard can be used as a spread with garlic and pates.

Tips from the chef:
- choose a piece with meat
- cut into large pieces or divide the whole piece into three
- do not spare spices and salt
Ingredients:
- underbelly - 1.5 kg
- garlic - 1 head
- ground bay leaf - 1/4 tsp
- salt - 1.5 tsp
- pepper mix - 1.5 tsp
- water - 3 tsp
Method of preparation:
1. Cut a large piece of lard into three parts.
2. Mix garlic with all spices in a mortar and mash well. Add a little water and mix.
3. Make cuts in the lard and stuff it with a mixture of seasonings and garlic.
4. Leave to marinate from 1 hour to a day.
5. Afterwards, put it in foil, then in a mold or baking sheet and bake for 1-1.5 hours.
6. The finished dish can be served immediately.
It's worth noting that it will be delicious in any form. You can freeze it or serve with potatoes and salads.
