Tastier than mashed potatoes: how to cook potatoes with chicken in milk
The usual stewed potatoes can be prepared in a much more original way. For this, you will need milk. The vegetables will be very tender and soft.
The idea of cooking stewed potatoes with chicken in milk was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Oksana Dorosh (oksana dorosh rezeptu). You can also cook pasta in this way.
Ingredients
- chicken fillet - 300-500 g.
- potatoes - 1 kg.
- onions - 1 pc.
- carrot - 1 pc.
- fresh milk - 2 cups
- salt and spices
- oil for frying
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the onion into thin half rings.
2. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
3. Cut the potatoes into medium slices.
4. Cut the chicken into small pieces.
5. Fry over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
6. Then add onions and carrots and fry for 10 minutes.
7. Then add the chopped potatoes, salt, spices and pour in the milk.
8. Simmer the dish over very low heat for about an hour.
9. Sprinkle with herbs if desired. Instead of potatoes, you can add durum pasta, which is also very tasty.
