Tastier than cabbage rolls: hearty buckwheat cutlets with meat and tomato sauce
Buckwheat can be used to make not only soup and porridge but also very satisfying and tasty buckwheat cutlets with meat, onions and spices. To make them juicy, cook them with tomato sauce.

Ingredients:
- dry buckwheat - 150 g
- onion (large) - 1 pc.
- meat - 1 kg
- eggs - 2 pcs.
- oil - for frying
- spices: salt, pepper, favorite - to taste
- flour - for rolling
For the filling:
- tomato sauce - 1 tbsp.
- onion - 1 pc.
Method of preparation:
1. Wash the buckwheat, boil in salted water until tender and let it cool.
2. Finely chop the onion and fry in a little oil until soft.
3. Pass the meat through a meat grinder.
4. Beat the eggs, add the fried meat and onions, spices and mix thoroughly. Finally, add the cooked buckwheat and mix again.
5. Form cutlets and roll in flour.
6. Heat a little oil in a pan and fry on both sides. After that, put them in a baking dish and pour the tomato sauce over them. If you don't have any sauce, you can dilute 250 ml of water with 50 g of tomato paste. Bake at 180 C for 40-45 minutes.
Sprinkle with herbs before serving!
