Cauliflower can be used to make mashed potatoes, soups, salads, and can also be fried and stewed.

The cook shared a recipe for delicious cauliflower in breadcrumbs with cheese on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • cauliflower - 1 head
  • eggs - 3 pcs.
  • breadcrumbs - 120 g
  • hard cheese - 130 g
  • milk - 300 ml
  • onion - 1 medium
  • bay leaf - 2 pcs.
  • salt, pepper, nutmeg

Method of preparation:

1. Divide the cauliflower into florets. Salt the water, bring to a boil and cook the cauliflower. Then take it out and let it cool slightly.

2. Add spices to taste, and roll in beaten eggs and breadcrumbs. Put on a baking sheet and bake at 180 C for 20-25 minutes.

3. For the sauce, pour milk into a saucepan. Chop the onion and add it to the milk together with bay leaf. Bring the milk to a boil, turn it off, cover and let it brew for at least 20 minutes. Strain it and set it aside. Melt butter in a saucepan, add flour, and fry it until golden brown, stirring constantly. Then pour in the milk and cook the sauce, stirring again until it thickens. Next, add the grated cheese, mix well and continue cooking for just a few minutes. It should have a nice, homogeneous consistency. Then remove from the heat, add salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste.

Serve crispy cabbage with cheese sauce!
