Syrnyky with apple sauce: how to serve a familiar dish in a new way

Although syrnyky are perfect on their own, they can be served even more delicious and original. And this can be done with sauces, one of which is apple sauce. Delicate syrnyky that hold their shape well, combined with a sweet and sour flavorful sauce, are a real explosion of flavors.
Food blogger Oksana (oxana_bil) shared a recipe for syrnyky with apple sauce on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- cottage cheese - 500 g
- eggs - 1 pc
- sugar - 1-2 tbsp
- flour - 2-3 tbsp.
Apple sauce:
- butter - 1 tbsp.
- apples - 3 pcs
- sugar - 2-3 tbsp
- vanilla sugar - 1 p
- sour cream - 150 g
- cinnamon
Method of preparation:
1. To make syrnyky, mix all the ingredients and beat with an immersion blender until smooth. Note that the mass should not stick too much to your hands when forming the products.
2. Form syrrnyky and fry on both sides in a pan.
3. At this stage, prepare apple sauce. First, cut apples into slices or small pieces. Fry the apples in butter with sugar and cinnamon.
4. After a few minutes, add sour cream and simmer until the apples until soft.
5. Add the syrnyky to the sauce and simmer for another 10 minutes.
