Syrniki that always turn out fluffy: what unexpected ingredient to add

As a rule, successful syrniki are made from cottage cheese. To keep their shape, syrniki are made with flour. To make the dessert have a delicate texture and fluffiness, semolina and even baking powder are added to the cottage cheese.

The recipe for syrniki with raisins was published on one of the culinary blogs (maslyana_tm) on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • cottage cheese - 500 g
  • flour - 100 g
  • semolina - 50 g
  • eggs - 2 pcs
  • sugar - 100 g
  • baking powder - 3 tsp
  • salt - 0.5 tsp
  • raisins - 50 g
  • vegetable oil - 50 g

Method of preparation:

1. In a bowl, mix the following ingredients: cottage cheese, flour, semolina, eggs, sugar, salt and baking powder. Beat with a blender until smooth. The mass will be pasty.

2. Add the raisins to the mixture. Mix well.

3. With wet hands, form the syrniki and roll them in flour.

4. Fry the syrniki in vegetable oil on both sides.
