Sweet pumpkin donuts: bake for only 20 minutes
Seasonal pumpkin is especially tasty when added to a variety of pastries. The dough with this ingredient becomes very tender, with a pleasant sweetish flavor. It's a great idea to make fluffy sweet donuts. They take only 20 minutes to bake.
The idea of making pumpkin donuts was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Valeria Veligura (yummy.lera).
Ingredients:
- flour - 250 g
- Spices: 2 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp nutmeg, 1 tsp dried ginger
- baking soda - 1 tsp.
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp.
- a pinch of salt
- eggs - 2 pcs.
- sugar - 250 g
- butter - 115 g
- pumpkin puree - 250 g
- sugar + cinnamon
Method of preparation:
1. Pumpkin puree: cut the pumpkin in half, remove the seeds and bake until soft at 200 degrees for 1-1.5 hours (depending on the size of the pumpkin).
2. Take out the pulp and beat it with a blender until it becomes a puree.
3. Prepare the dough: combine the flour, spices, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Separately, combine eggs, sugar, melted butter, and pumpkin puree. Add the dry ingredients to the liquid ones and mix.
4. Put the dough into donut or muffin tins and bake in an oven preheated to 175 degrees Celsius for 12-15 minutes.
5. Let cool and roll in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon (you can brush the doughnuts with melted butter beforehand to help the sugar stick better).
