Svitlana Fus explained how to cook and eat chicken liver.

Chicken liver is a healthy and tasty product that should be in everyone's diet, unless you have any contraindications and, of course, allergies. It's worth noting that liver is very easy to prepare: you can boil it, make a delicious pate, or stew it with vegetables.

Nutritionist Svitlana Fus exclusively for FoodOboz told us about the benefits of chicken liver, the correct ways of cooking, as well as who should refuse it and why, and at what age this product can be given to children.

Who can eat chicken liver?

"Chicken liver is a healthy and valuable product that contains a large amount of minerals and vitamins. For example, iron, zinc, copper, B vitamins, and fat-soluble vitamins. The liver also contains a fairly large amount of protein with a complete amino acid composition. To satisfy the body's need for iron and other trace elements, it is enough to eat it several times a week," the expert explained.

For whom is this product most useful?

"Everyone can eat liver if there is no allergy or intolerance to this product. For people whose liver is on the list of restrictions due to health problems, it is very important to understand that the amount and frequency of consumption is important in this case. Liver can also be given to children when they begin to feed. However, it should be introduced as one of the last foods and in a very small amount. Pregnant women can include this product in their diet. It will be a good nutritional support for the body with vitamins and minerals when it is under a double load," says Svitlana Fus.

How to cook liver properly to keep it healthy?

"Don't forget that this is a very delicate product that can be easily spoiled during cooking. The best way, in my opinion, is to make a liver paste. Vegetables are also used for pate. This combination will be very useful. The main thing is not to use a lot of fat. You can also stew the liver with different spices, with turmeric, for example. It is important not to cook the liver for a long time to preserve all the nutrients in it," the expert summarized.
