Successful and puffy apple buns: what dough to choose
Apples are the perfect filling for any sweet pastry. The key is to choose a dough that is fluffy and crispy after cooking. Thus, it should be made with yeast and milk.
The idea of making delicious apple buns was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Khrysyna (kristy_cookery).
Ingredients for the dough:
- flour - 250-300 g
- sugar - 60 g
- yeast - 30 g
- a pinch of salt
- milk - 100 ml
- eggs - 1 pc.
- soft ghee - 50 g
Ingredients for the filling:
- sugar - 2-3 tbsp.
- cinnamon - a pinch
- apples - 2 pcs.
- peaches - 2 pcs.
- melted butter - a piece
Method of preparation:
1. Dissolve yeast in warm milk.
2. Add egg, sugar, salt, and butter, mix well and add sifted flour. Knead the dough.
3. Cover the finished dough with a clean towel and wait until it has doubled in size.
4. Roll out the dough, add the sliced apples and peaches, sprinkle with sugar, roll up, and cut the buns. Spread melted butter on top.
5. Bake at 180 degrees for 40-50 minutes.
6. Sprinkle with powdered sugar on top.
