Stuffed zucchini with meat in the oven: how to prepare a budget seasonal dish
If you have zucchini in your fridge, your family will never go hungry. This is a very versatile product that can be used in the preparation of a variety of dishes. One of the fastest ways is baking.
The idea of cooking zucchini stuffed with meat was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Olha (bilous_olha). It's also very budget-friendly.
Ingredients:
- zucchini - 3 pcs.
- minced chicken - 0.5 kg.
- hard cheese - 200 g
- egg
- tomato sauce or tomatoes in their own juice or just tomatoes - 2 pcs.
- onion - 1 pc.
- carrots - 1 medium piece
- garlic
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the zucchini in half and remove the pulp (do not throw it away).
2. Put in a baking dish lined with foil and sprinkled with oil.
3. Brush the zucchini with oil.
4. Put in the oven at 180 degrees for 15 minutes.
5. Fry the diced onions, grated carrots and diced zucchini pulp in oil (olive or sunflower).
6. Add the minced meat. Fry.
7. Season with salt and pepper and squeeze the garlic.
8. Add tomato sauce (or chopped tomatoes). Simmer.
9. Add the egg to the cooled minced meat and stuff the zucchini.
10. Bake at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
11. Sprinkle with grated cheese 5 minutes before the end.
