Stuffed peppers with bulgur
Ingredients:
- bulgur
- chicken meat (can be turkey)
- carrot
- onion
- spices and herbs to taste
- bell pepper
Preparation:
- Peel the bell pepper and prepare it for stuffing.
- Boil bulgur until half cooked (10 minutes after boiling).
- Grate the carrots on a fine grater, chop the onion, and simmer for 5 minutes in vegetable oil and water.
- Add the meat, cut into small pieces, and simmer for another 7 minutes.
- Add the stewed vegetables and meat to the bulgur.
- Stuff the peppers, and place them in a wide saucepan.
- Add water to half of the peppers and salt.
- Cover with a lid.
- Cook over low heat for 20 minutes.
- When serving, pour over sour cream.
