Strawberry jam with basil and vanilla in 10 minutes: the original recipe was shared by Yevhen Klopotenko
Strawberries are one of the most delicious, aromatic, and healthy berries, which experts recommend eating to everyone who is not allergic, and preferably in raw form. It is also an excellent ingredient for making flavored pies, jams, ice cream, lemonade, and jellies.
Chef Yevhen Klopotenko shared a recipe for delicious strawberry jam with basil and vanilla on his YouTube channel, which turns out to be very flavorful and takes just 10 minutes to make (scroll to the end of the page to watch the video).
Ingredients:
- strawberries - 1 kg
- sugar - 500 g
- basil leaves - 20 g
- vanilla sugar - 20 g
Method of preparation:
1. Wash the strawberries, be sure to remove the tails.
2. Put the cooked strawberries in a saucepan, cover with sugar, and let it brew for 20-30 minutes to let the berries release their juice.
3. Then put the saucepan over medium heat, and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally with a spoon.
4. After boiling, cook the jam for another 5-10 minutes.
5. Chop the leaves and add them to the jam along with the vanilla sugar, stir, and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
6. Put the finished jam into dry sterile jars and close the lids.
7. Turn the lid down and leave for a day.
