Strawberry jam with a special ingredient: it turns out to be very flavorful and attractive

Strawberry jam is sweet, and flavorful, and goes well with bread and milk. Usually, strawberries are not combined with other fruits in this dish, because the berry has the perfect moderately sweet and sour taste. However, you can add one interesting ingredient – rose petals.
The idea of making strawberry jam with rose petals was published on the Instagram page of blogger Alina Boyko (alinaboicko).
Ingredients:
- rose petals - 100 g
- strawberries - 600 g
- sugar - 600 g
- citric acid - 1/3 tsp.
- water - 150 g
Method of preparation:
1. Cover the strawberries with half the sugar.
2. Leave for 30 minutes to let the juice flow.
3. Make a syrup from the other half of the sugar and water and pour it over the rose petals.
4. Bring to a boil and add strawberries and citric acid.
5. Cook for 5 minutes over low heat.
6. Remove from heat and cool completely.
7. Then put it back on low heat, bring it to a boil, and cook for 10-15 minutes.
8. Close in jars.
