Stewed cabbage in a new way: it always turns out juicy
Ordinary stewed cabbage can compete with many restaurant dishes if prepared in the Turkish style. This dish is based on juicy minced meat that goes well with aromatic spices. The cabbage becomes very soft, tender and spicy.
The idea of cooking Turkish stewed cabbage was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Alex Mil (mil_alexx).
Ingredients:
- 700 g of cabbage
- 300 g of minced meat (it is delicious with chicken)
- 15 g of oil for frying
- 2-3 tbsp of tomato
- salt, pepper, paprika, suneli hops
- 2-3 cloves of garlic
- large onion (150 g)
- large tomato - 300 g
Method of preparation:
1. Pour the oil into a large saucepan, add the minced meat, and cook for 6-7 minutes, breaking up the lumps.
2. Add the chopped tomato and onion in half rings and chopped garlic, add the tomato paste, mix well and simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes.
3. Add salt, pepper, paprika, and suneli hops, half a tablespoon each. Stir and cook for a few more minutes.
4. Add the shredded cabbage to the pan. Stir and cook with the lid on for about 20 minutes. No need to add water, let it cook in its own juice. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally.
5. When the cabbage is completely soft, it is ready.
