Steamed fish cutlets for children: Tetiana Lytvynova shares the right cooking technology
Fish cutlets are one of the healthiest and least favorite children's dishes. Very often, children refuse to eat fish because of the smell, but you can easily eliminate it and hide the product in vegetables, as well as combine two types of fish and add some spices.
Cook Tetiana Lytvynova shared a recipe for delicious steamed fish cakes on her YouTube channel that even children will eat (to watch the video, scroll to the end).
"You need to beat the minced fish well so that it becomes like dough because it is cooked without eggs and flour," the cook advises.
Ingredients:
- Pink salmon fillet – 250 g
- Mintay fillet – 250 g
- Onion – 250 g
- Olive oil – 2 tbsp.
- Pepper mixture – 0.5 tsp.
- Salt – 1 tsp.
- Coriander – 0.5 tsp.
- For decoration – turmeric, paprika
Method of preparation:
1. Pre-fry the onion until golden brown.
2. Cut the fish into large pieces and pass it through a meat grinder together with the cooked onion.
3. Add the ground coriander and pepper mixture to the minced fish and mix well.
4. Put the minced fish on a board and pound it well to make it a dough-like consistency.
5. Form small patties with wet hands.
6. Sprinkle the finished cutlets with turmeric and paprika through a sieve.
7. Put them on a baking sheet covered with parchment and put in the oven for 15 minutes at 180°C.
The finished fishcakes will taste and texture like steamed fishcakes due to their juice released during the cooking process.
