Square cottage cheese pancakes with a crispy crust: how to prepare
Classic cottage cheese pancakes or syrnyky usually have a round shape and soft texture, but this dish can also be square. In addition, if you fry the products properly, an appetizing crispy crust will form.
The idea of making crispy square cottage cheese pancakes was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Inna with the nickname foodinna. These syrnyky are fried in butter without the lid.
Ingredients:
- cottage cheese
- one egg yolk
- zest of half a lemon
- flour
- butter for frying
Method of preparation:
1. Mix the cottage cheese with egg yolk.
2. Mash with a fork into a homogeneous mixture.
3. Add the lemon zest.
4. Add the flour. This is 2-2.5 tablespoons depending on how liquid the curd mass is.
5. Use a kitchen knife to form syrnyky and roll them in flour.
6. Fry in butter on all sides without covering with a lid.
