Spicy-sour sauce from sour plums: how to prepare a spicy addition to dishes at home
Now the plum season is in full swing. And this means that housewives will be preparing a lot of different dishes, desserts and preparations for winter from this fruit.
And here foodblogger Eduard Nasyrov in his Instagram told a recipe for cooking spicy-sour sauce from sour plums. It is prepared simply and has an excellent flavor that will suit many dishes, claims the cook.
Ingredients
- Plum - 500 gr
- Chili - 2 pcs
- Water - 500 ml
- Salt - 1.5 g
- Sugar/honey - 1 tsp.
- Apple cider vinegar - 1 tbsp.
- Smoked paprika - 1 tsp.
- Vegetable oil - 100 ml
- Tomato paste - 1 tbsp.
Preparation method
1. Cut plums in half, put in a jar, add chili, pour water and add salt, stir. It is necessary that the water covered the plums.
2. Cover the jar and leave it for 5-7 days for fermentation.
3. Drain the brine (leaving 70 ml).
4. Combine all ingredients and 70 ml of the brine in the bowl of a blender and beat until smooth.
5. Pour in the oil separately in a thin stream. Season to taste with salt.
6. Ready sauce pour into bottles, store in the refrigerator up to 3 months.
