Spicy salted mackerel with spices: how to cook quickly and deliciously
Mackerel is one of the most budget-friendly and healthy types of fish that can be baked, salted, or pickled. Spices will give marinated fish an original flavor.
Cook Maria shared on Instagram a recipe for delicious spicy salted mackerel with coriander, cinnamon, and bay leaves.
Ingredients:
- frozen mackerel - 1 kg
- onions - 1-2 pcs.
- jar - 1 liter
Marinade:
- water - 0.5 l
- cinnamon - 1/3 tsp.
- cloves - 3 pcs.
- vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. l.
- coriander - 1/2 tsp.
- allspice - 3 pcs.
- bay leaf - 2-3 pcs.
- salt - 2 tbsp.
- sugar - 1.5 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Defrost the fish, clean it from all excess, cut it into small pieces.
2. Cut the onion into rings.
3. Mix all the ingredients for the marinade in a saucepan and cook for 10 minutes after boiling, let cool.
4. Put the fish in a jar, alternating with the onions. Pour the marinade and refrigerate for a day.
