Spicy adjika with apples: a simple recipe for a spicy homemade sauce from Yevhen Klopotenko
Adjika is one of the most delicious, savory sauces based on tomatoes, garlic, and apples, with plums sometimes added for a smoked flavor. The most important thing when making adjika is to choose a delicious tomato variety and cook it properly.
Culinary expert Yevhen Klopotenko has shared a recipe for delicious, spicy adjika with garlic and chili peppers on his website, which takes only 60 minutes to prepare.
Ingredients:
- carrots - 3 pcs.
- sweet pepper - 2 pcs.
- sour apples - 3 pcs.
- chili peppers - 3-4 pcs.
- garlic - 2 heads
- sunflower oil - 1/2 cup
- vinegar - 1/2 cup
- sugar - 100 g
- salt - 1.5 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Wash, peel, and cut the vegetables and fruits into large pieces so that they can be easily passed through a meat grinder.
2. Pass everything through a meat grinder and pour into a saucepan, add sugar, salt, oil, and vinegar.
3. Cook the adjika for 60 minutes over low heat, and add the chopped garlic 10 minutes before cooking.
4. Put the finished adjika in sterilized jars, close the lids, and put in a cool place.
