Soft and fluffy doughnuts made from special dough: don't get stale for several days
Cooking flavorful, airy, and soft donuts is every housewife's dream. But if you don't add or take enough of one ingredient, the pastry is ruined. It's all about the dough, and the most successful for doughnuts is potato dough. It's hard to spoil it. So, they will turn out even the first time and even for beginners.
Food blogger Kateryna Kudliak (recepty_przepisy) shared her recipe for airy potato doughnuts on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
Dough:
- pressed yeast – 35 g
- vanilla sugar – 20 g
- warm milk – 125 ml
- eggs – 2 pcs
- yolks – 3 pcs
- sugar – 70 g
- salt – a pinch
- mashed potatoes – 300 g
- melted butter – 100 g
- vodka – 2 tbsp
- flour – 650 g
Filling:
Use to your own taste: chocolate paste, jam, jam, poppy seeds, cherries, custard.
Optional:
- Powdered sugar.
1. Dough. Boil the potatoes until tender (do not salt). Drain, mash, and beat with a blender until smooth. Cool.
2. Combine yeast, vanilla sugar, and milk in a separate bowl. Mix until smooth and the yeast is completely dissolved.
3. Add the eggs and the rest of the ingredients except the flour. Mix well.
4. Gradually add flour and knead a soft dough. Cover and leave in a warm place for 1.5 hours.
5. Roll out the dough and cut out small circles. Leave for 20 minutes.
6. Fry the donuts in a large amount of oil over low heat.
7. When the donuts have cooled, fill with the filling. And sprinkle with powdered sugar.
