Smashed pickled cucumbers in an hour with hot pepper, soy sauce and garlic: the easiest recipe for a savory appetizer
Pickled cucumbers can be made with chili peppers, spices, dill, and cherry and currant leaves. To make the cucumbers crispy, they must be soaked in water for several hours.
Cook Tetiana Lytvynova shared a recipe for pickled smashed cucumbers with chili peppers, soy sauce, sesame oil, and garlic on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- cucumbers - 1 kg
- soy sauce - 40 g
- garlic - 4-5 cloves.
- sesame oil - 30 g
- hot chili peppers - 2 pcs.
- sesame seeds - 3-5 g
- rice vinegar - 30 g
- sugar - 2 tsp.
- cilantro - 30-50 g
Method of preparation:
1. Cut off the tips of the cucumbers and beat them with a rolling pin.
2. Slice the pepper.
3. Mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, chopped garlic, rice vinegar, sesame seeds, and sugar. Pour the mixture over the cucumbers and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Sprinkle the cucumbers with chopped cilantro before serving.
