Smashed cucumbers are a true Chinese classic among appetizers. They are very easy to prepare and taste as if they were made with gourmet ingredients.
A food blogger with the nickname alinaumami shared how to make smashed cucumbers on Instagram. She also showed what marinade is best for them.
Ingredients
- cucumbers - 400-500 g
- salt - 1 tsp
Ingredients for the marinade
- oil - 2 tbsp
- garlic - 1 clove
- chili pepper
- sugar - 1 tsp
- soy sauce - 4 tbsp
- lemon juice - ½ pc
- sesame seeds - 2 tbsp
Method of preparation
1. Wash and smash the cucumbers with a knife or meat mallet. Add salt and leave for 10 minutes.
2. Mix all the ingredients for the marinade.
3. Drain the juice from the cucumbers, add the marinade and mix well.
4. Leave for a few minutes to marinate and serve.
