Sinabon-flavored oatmeal: how to make a healthy dessert

There are often times when you really want a flavorful, fluffy pastry. But at certain times of the day, such food may not be very healthy, and for people who are watching their figure, it can be very harmful and high in calories. Therefore, you can make a great alternative – oatmeal with nuts and cinnamon.

The idea of cooking oatmeal with cinnamon and nuts was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Inna Levenets (inna_levenets).

Ingredients:

  • oatmeal – 1 cup
  • vegetable milk – 2 cups
  • ground cardamom – 1/2 tsp
  • salt – a pinch
  • vegan butter – 2 tbsp. 
  • brown sugar – 2 tbsp
  • cinnamon – 1 tsp
  • nuts

Method of preparation:

1. Cook the porridge: pour milk into the oatmeal with cardamom and salt, put on the fire, and cook until tender.

2. Melt the vegan butter, and mix with sugar and cinnamon. Here is a topping that will bring the taste of oatmeal closer to the taste of fragrant cinnamon rolls.

3. Pour the finished porridge with the topping and sprinkle with nuts.
