Simpler than grated pie: peat cake with cottage cheese and cherries for tea
The best homemade dessert for tea is a pie. You can prepare them on different dough, from pita and on different flours and even from oat flakes. In winter, pies are best prepared with healthy berries, fruits, spices and nuts.
Cook Tetiana shared on Instagram a recipe for a delicious peat pie with cherries and cottage cheese, which turns out very hearty and flavorful.
Ingredients:
- flour - 400 g
- cocoa - 4 tbsp
- sugar - 100 g
- salt - a pinch
- butter - 250 g
For the filling:
- sour milk cottage cheese - 500 g
- cherries - 400 g
- eggs - 4 pcs.
- sour cream - 100 g
- starch - 2 tbsp. tsp.
- vanilla sugar or vanilla extract
Method of preparation:
1. In a blender bowl pour flour, add sugar, salt, cocoa. Next, add cold butter, diced and chop everything into crumbs. If you don't have a blender, grate the butter and grind everything into crumbs with your hands.
2. To the cheese add sugar, vanilla, eggs, sour cream and beat everything with a blender (if not, then with a mixer, but it is better to rub the cheese through a sieve). Add the starch and mix thoroughly.
3. Mix the cherries with the starch.
4. Cover the mold with parchment, pour out 2/3 of the dough, lightly tamp with a spoon. Place the cherries on top and the curd mixture on them, flatten well and bake for 1 hour at 180C.
