Should you store bread in the refrigerator: an expert answers
For many years, there has been a debate about the right place to store bread. Some people prefer a breadbox, while others are convinced that the best place is the refrigerator.
Paul Hollywood, widely known as the "King of Bread," finally put an end to the debate about storing this product, writes The Sun. He told us whether it is worth storing bread in the refrigerator.
To begin with, Paul himself keeps his bread simply in a brown bag without a breadbox or refrigerator. Of course, a bread bin adds to the aesthetic appearance of the kitchen and prevents crumbs from spreading, so bread in a bag can also be kept in it.
But the expert strongly discourages keeping bread in the refrigerator, because, according to him, it will go stale four times faster. This is because all the moisture from the loaf will be destroyed by the cold from the refrigerator.
Interestingly, in the comments, many people disagreed with this statement and assured that they always keep bread in the refrigerator and it remains fresh even after the expiration date. However, the expert advises not to pay attention to such comments and keep bread in a regular craft bag.
