Recently, drinking coffee with lemon to lose weight has become a new trend. But often people don't even think about how acid in tandem with caffeine affects the body and weight, and whether this drink is safe for the body in general.

Nutritionist Svitlana Fus shared on Instagram all about whether it is safe to drink such coffee with lemon, and most importantly, how it can affect the body.

The expert said that people with gastrointestinal problems should refrain from such experiments.

"Excessive intake of acid in the stomach is always fraught with some consequences for those who already have problems with it. Firstly, acidity can increase, and secondly, the intestines and pancreas can react, so it's even dangerous," Fus explained.

The nutritionist also told us how this drink affects weight

"This drink has nothing to do with healthy and proper weight loss, it just makes you not want to eat. And reducing food always threatens to result in a deficient diet, lacking in minerals and vitamins, which can ultimately affect the condition of the skin, hair, and immunity," the expert said.

The nutritionist advised to eat healthy instead of such drinks.
