Potatoes are a product that is almost always available at home. And it is this vegetable that can become the basis for a hearty shepherd's pie. The dish is extremely quick and easy to prepare and will definitely save you when you need to feed a large family.

Ingredients for the filling:

  • minced meat - 500 g
  • onion - 2 pcs
  • carrots - 2 pcs
  • pepper - 1 pc
  • green peas - 100 g
  • tomato paste - 2 tbsp
  • dry wine - 50 ml (optional)
  • salt and pepper - to taste

Ingredients for mashed potatoes:

  • boiled potatoes - 7-9 pcs.
  • salt
  • butter - 20 g
  • eggs - 1 pc
  • milk - 100 g

Method of preparation:

1. Boil the potatoes and mash them.

2. Heat a frying pan with oil and fry onions and carrots.

3. Add the minced meat and fry for a while.

4. Add bell peppers, green peas, tomato paste, dry wine if desired, salt and pepper.

5. Stew well.

6. Layer the cake.

7. Bake at 180 degrees for 40 minutes.
