Shepherd's pie with mashed potatoes and minced meat: how to cook a popular dish
Shepherd's pie is nothing more than a potato casserole with meat or minced meat. It can be a hearty lunch or dinner for the whole family. The ingredients for the dish are sure to be found in every refrigerator, and it doesn't take much time to prepare.

Ingredients:
Filling:
- minced meat - 500 g
- onion - 2 pcs
- carrots - 2 pcs
- pepper - 1 pc
- green peas - 100 g
- tomato paste - 2 tbsp
- dry wine - 50 ml (optional)
- salt and pepper
Mashed potatoes:
- boiled potatoes - 7-9 pcs
- butter - 20 g
- egg - 1 pc
- milk - 100 g
- salt
Method of preparation:
1. Boil the potatoes.
2. Add butter, egg, milk and salt. Mash the potatoes.
3. Dice the onion and carrot. Fry until golden brown.
4. Add the minced meat. Fry lightly and season with salt.
5. Add bell peppers, peas, tomato paste and wine. Simmer for 30 minutes over low heat.
6. Put the vegetable and meat mixture in the mold evenly. Add mashed potatoes on top.
7. Bake at 200 degrees for 40 minutes.
