Salted mackerel in a day: a recipe for delicious and spicy fish

Mackerel is a very healthy, tasty, and easy-to-cook fish. It can be cooked in many ways: baked in the oven with vegetables and sauces, as well as added to salads, spreads, and marinated.

The chef shared a recipe for delicious pickled mackerel with spices and lemon on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • Mackerel - 4-5 pcs.
  • Rock or sea salt (coarse grain required) 850
  • Sugar 150
  • Lemon zest from 3 pcs.
  • Allspice 1 tsp.
  • Black peppercorns 1 tsp.
  • Bay leaf 3 pcs.

Method of preparation:

1. Wash and remove all the insides from the fish.

2. Mix salt, pepper, sugar and zest.

3. Rub the fish and leave it in the refrigerator to marinate for a day.
