Processed cheese is often the main ingredient in appetizers, spreads, rolls, and even salads. It's worth noting that store-bought processed cheese is often unsafe, so it's better to cook it at home.

The cook shared a recipe for safe and delicious homemade processed cheese with spices and sun-dried tomatoes on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g of cottage cheese (preferably homemade, and if not, take 5 or 9%)
  • 100 g of butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of baking soda
  • Provencal herb mixture
  • sun-dried tomatoes on request

Method of preparation:

1. In a bowl, combine cottage cheese, oil, egg, baking soda and salt. Stir until smooth.

2. Put in a water bath, stirring constantly, and cook for 10-15 minutes. If you see that the grains remain, blend again with an immersion blender.

3. Add the spices, sun-dried tomatoes and transfer to a glass mold or jar and cover with cling film until it is in contact. Chill and you're ready to eat!
