"Royal" cake without flour: how to quickly prepare a delicious dessert

If you like delicious desserts, it's best to make them yourself from natural and safe products. It's worth noting that some cakes can be made without flour, sugar, and eggs.

Tip: You don't need to chop the nuts for the cake, but the cake will look more beautiful and taste better if you dry them slightly in a dry frying pan.

Ingredients:

Cakes:

  • whites – 10 pcs
  • powdered sugar – 250 g
  • roasted walnuts – 400 g
  • starch – 25 g

Cream:

  • yolks – 10 pcs
  • powdered sugar – 160 g
  • cocoa – 2 tbsp
  • milk – 100 ml
  • butter – 200 g
  • cognac or rum – 30 ml

Method of preparation:

1. Mix the egg whites (as fresh as possible) with the powdered sugar and beat with a mixer until stiff peaks form. Carefully add the starch with a spatula, mixing in one direction.

2. Carefully fold the roasted nuts into the protein mixture in portions.

3. Put the dough on a wide flat baking sheet covered with parchment and gently smooth it with a spatula into an even layer. Bake in a preheated oven to 180°C for 20-25 minutes. You can tell when the cake is ready by its pleasant caramel color.

4. Separate the finished cake from the parchment with a spatula almost immediately after baking, while it is still hot. Cut the cake into 2-3 pieces.

5. Whisk the egg yolks with the icing sugar, then gently pour in the milk and mix. Bring to a boil in a water bath with constant stirring, but do not cook. Let the mixture cool.

6. Add the butter to the cream, sift the cocoa powder through a sieve to avoid lumps, and pour in the cognac. Beat the mixture with a mixer until the cream becomes thick.

7. Spread the cream over the cakes, top the cake with the cream, and sprinkle with the crumbs left after cutting the cake. Garnish with nuts, grated chocolate, and white coconut flakes.
