When you look at the photo of this cake, it immediately seems that only professional confectioners can make it. It really looks very elegant and presentable. But it is possible to make such a cake at home. The process is quite simple, and the ingredients are affordable.

Preparing the dough
  • butter - 130 g
  • powdered sugar - 250 g
  • eggs - 3 pcs
  • flour - 265 g
  • cocoa - 6 g
  • soda - 1.5 tsp
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • vanilla sugar - 4 g
  • salt - 1/3 tsp
  • natural white yogurt - 240 g
  • dye 1.5-2 tsp (but depends on the dye itself)

Ingredients for the cream:

  • cream cheese 700 - g
  • cream 33% - 300 g
  • powdered sugar - 150 g
Preparation of the cream

Ingredients for the impregnation:

  • water - 100 ml
  • sugar - 50 g

How to make a sponge cake:

1. Add the dye to the yogurt, mix.

2. In a separate bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda.

3. Beat butter, add powdered sugar, whisking, add eggs one by one.

4. Add vanilla sugar and salt.

5. Gradually sift the dry ingredients into the dough alternately with the yogurt, mix with a mixer.

6. Put the dough into a 20 cm. mold and put in a preheated oven to 165 degrees for 50-70 minutes, check with a toothpick.

7. Wrap the dough in cling film and put in the refrigerator for an hour.

8. Cut into 3 equal cakes. Leave the upper parts for crumbs.

9. Bring the water and sugar to a boil and cool to room temperature for the impregnation.

Preparation of the cream:

1. Whip the cream with powdered sugar.

2. Add cold cream cheese, beat with a mixer.

Put in the refrigerator overnight. Leave a little cream.

The next day, spread it over the cake and sprinkle with crumbs.
