Red currant jelly for the winter: the easiest recipe
Red currant is a very tasty and healthy berry, it contains a lot of vitamin C, and it is also a versatile berry for making pies, compotes, and dumplings. It makes delicious jams and homemade marmalade.

Ingredients:
- Red currants – 1 kg
- Sugar – 2 kg
Method of preparation:
- Wash the berries, and separate them from the twigs.
- Blend in a blender or pass through a meat grinder and be sure to strain through a sieve so that no bones or twigs remain.
- Pour the mashed potatoes into a saucepan, add 1 kg of sugar, stir, and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, be sure to skim off the foam.
- Add the remaining sugar, mix thoroughly, and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Pour into sterile jars, twist, and turn them upside down, after they cool, transfer them to a dark, cold place.
