Recipe of the day: lightly salted salmon in 10 minutes
Cooking is easy. This phrase is not a myth from the Internet, but a very real thing. In our "Recipe of the Day" section, we continue to tell you about the simplest dishes that even a small child can handle.
Today we are sharing with you a recipe for lightly salted salmon. We can assure you that after you try this home-cooked fish, you will hardly ever buy pickled salmon in a store again.
It takes only 10 minutes to cook lightly salted salmon (or any other red fish – salmon, trout, pink salmon). However, after that, the fish will need to be left overnight to marinate, but this process will take place without your participation. But then in the morning, you can prepare breakfast in 5 minutes: just spread fresh cream cheese on bread and put salted salmon on top.
You will need:
- salmon fillet on the skin - 500 g
- coarse sea salt - 2 tbsp
- sugar - 2 tbsp.
How to cook:
- Wash the fish, and remove visible bones. Cut into two parts. Do not remove the skin.
- Mix sugar and salt in a bowl. Rub the flesh of the fillet with half of the mixture. Optionally, at this stage, you can add spices: ground pepper, bay leaf, lemon, or finely chopped dill.
- Put the pieces of fish on top of each other so that the fillet is inside and the skin is on top. Sprinkle the remaining mixture of salt and sugar on top of the fish from the skin side.
- Put the salted fish in a container, close the lid, and put it in the refrigerator for 12-15 hours.
